Manchester United board have decided not to sack manager, Jose Mourinho, despite the Red Devils’ 3-1 defeat by Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.

However, Jesse Lingard did score for Jose Mourinho’s men.

According to The Guardian, United’s hierarchy have decided that Mourinho’s future at Old Trafford is not under immediate threat following Sunday’s defeat to Jurgen Klopp’s men.

The report claimed that United’s chiefs are willing to give the Portuguese time to improve his side’s performances and turn things around for good so as to save his job.

Mourinho’s men will now tackle Cardiff City in their next Premier League fixture on Saturday.

Man United currently sit in sixth position on the Premier League table with 26 points from 17 games.
