Losing captain Harry Kane due to an injury could be costly for Tottenham, says Mauricio Pochettino

Tottenham Hotspur could face a striker crisis after leading striker Harry Kane was injured during halftime in his 1-0 loss to Manchester United in the English Premier League.

Losing captain Harry Kane due to an injury could be costly for Tottenham, says Mauricio Pochettino

With the trained son of South Korea, Heung-min, playing his last game before going to the Asian Cup, the last thing Mauricio Pochettino needed was to see the captain of England leave the field on Sunday after being beaten by Phil Jones, of United...
Kane and Son have scored 22 goals between them this season and, without them, Tottenham does not have many goals, especially with the Spanish Fernando Llorente fighting for the form.

"It was a clear lack on Harry Kane, a big blow, (referee) Mike Dean said he did not see it," Pochettino said of Jones' challenge.

"Kane twisted his ankle and we hope it's not a big problem." My concern is that it was a bad tackle at the last moment.

"We are going to lose Son for the Asian Cup and if Harry Kane suffers an injury, it will be very important for us." Tottenham also lost midfield midfielder Moussa Sissoko with a groin injury before halftime, adding to his problems.

The loss left the Spurs nine points behind the leaders of the Liverpool Premier League.
