Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has told the club to sell forward, Alvaro Morata when the transfer window opens in January and use the money to buy 31-year-old AC Milan striker, Gonzalo Higuain, Sky Sport Italia reports.
Sarri wanted the Blues to sign the Higuain in the summer but the move was not permitted and the Argentina international ended up joining AC Milan on a season-long loan from Serie A champions, Juventus.
Higuain played under Sarri during their time at Napoli, scoring 36 goals in the 2015-16 Serie A campaign.
However, speaking about Higuain earlier this season, Sarri told Corriere dello Sport in an interview that he would welcome the arrival of Higuain at Stamford Bridge, adding that the striker was a goal machine.
“I miss Higuain a great deal. I miss him because he’ll keep scoring goals until the day he dies,” Sarri said.
“He is a goal machine, a systematic and automatic jackpot.”
Sarri’s men will tackle Leicester City on Saturday in the Premier League fixture at the Stamford Bridge.
