Alvaro Morata has given Chelsea fans an update on his fitness as the striker attempts to recover from a hamstring injury in time for the Blues' trip to Crystal Palace.
The 24-year-old was forced off in the first half of Chelsea's 1-0 loss to Manchester City last Saturday with a muscular problem in his left leg, which was later diagnosed by the Spanish national team's medical staff as being a grade two hamstring injury.
Morata returned to Chelsea's training base at Cobham to start the recovery process and, in a social media post earlier this week, suggested he could be back in time for the Blues' next league game against Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday 14 October.
The Spaniard has now uploaded two videos onto his Instagram account showing him cycling at Cobham, which suggests he is working hard to avoid missing any games for the champions.
Morata's return to fitness will be much welcomed by Antonio Conte, with the Spain international having scored six Premier League goals so far this season.
Michy Batshuayi is Chelsea's only other recognised striker, but Conte opted against bringing the Belgian on when Morata went off injured against City - instead substituting on winger Willian.
