Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, has taken a stand on the racial abuse on Manchester City star, Raheem Sterling by some Blues’ fans.

Sarri condemned the racial discrimination and joined his winger, Eden Hazard in the call for fans to be banned for life.

Some Chelsea fans were caught on camera allegedly shouting racial abuses at Sterling as the England international picked the ball for throwing during Man City’s 2-0 loss at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Sarri told press conference ahead of Chelsea clash with Vidi, “First of all I want to say that I condemn any form of discrimination, of course. I think that I have to stop here. Because there is an investigation so I think it’s better not to say something more. Of course, my opinion is that I condemn every sort of discrimination.

“I am very happy with the words of Eden. I think the club had banned four persons, I think. And so the opinion of the club, the opinion of Eden and my opinion are the same.”

“I’d like to speak about the match because otherwise, it’s impossible to go on, I think. I can answer all these questions only in one way: like I have answered the first question. There is I think anything else to say.

“It was disgusting. You know very well my opinion, the opinion of the club, but now we have to go on.

“We have to talk about the match. For us, it’s a very difficult match to prepare. In this match, we haven’t a material target. So it’s not easy for me to prepare the match with my players. So I would like to speak about the pitch, also for this.”
