Tennis Star Andy Murray Sells Miami Condo for $2.375M

Andy Murray’s 45th-floor apartment in the Jade Residences sells for $2.375 million.
Sir Andy Murray, the world’s No. 1-ranked tennis player, has finally offloaded his Miami pad for $2.375 million, after actively trying to sell it for more than two years with several price adjustments.

The sale of the four-bedroom apartment on Brickell Bay Drive was closed last Friday, according to Claudine Letz, an agent with Fortune International Realty who represented the buyer. It went into contract at the end of June with a listing price of $2.5 million.

The property first hit the market for $2.99 million in April 2016, went into contract shortly after but failed to close. It was relisted for $2.69 million in October 2016, and the price dropped to $2.59 million one month later. The listing price went up and down a few times before it settled at $2.5 million in March 2017, according to listing records.

In addition to four bedrooms, the 3,415-square-foot apartment also includes five bathrooms, a spacious living and dining area and a game room, per the listing with City Realty Group International.

Located on the 45th floor of the 48-story luxury building, known as the Jade Residences, designed by Bernard Zyscovich and developed by Fortune International Group in 2004, the apartment boasts views of Brickell Bay and downtown Miami skyline.

“The buyer is attracted by the unobstructed views, the luxury amenities of the building and its walkability to the happening scenes in Miami,”  said Ms. Letz, who declined to name her client. Building amenities include a sky lounge, a fitness center with a spa and a deck with two infinity pools.

Mr. Murray, 30, the only two-time Olympic tennis champion, purchased the unit for $1.575 million in 2008 through a limited liability company, public records show.
