Neymar showed lack of humility with Celtic's Anthony Ralston
Brendan Rodgers believes Neymar's behaviour towards Celtic teenager Anthony Ralston showed a "lack of humility".

Full-back Ralston, 18, repeatedly clashed with the world's most expensive player as Paris Saint-Germain triumphed 5-0 in their Champions League opener at Celtic Park on Tuesday.

Neymar appeared to snub the youngster's handshake at the final whistle, and Rodgers was disappointed with the Brazil international.

"It's a pity. I've spoke of my admiration for Neymar but it would have been nice if he could have recognised an 18-year-old coming up against himself, a top-class player," Rodgers said ahead of Celtic's Scottish Premiership game against Ross County.

"Maybe he just feels that when he comes to Celtic Park, a hostile ground, it's a difficult place for him to come.

"The friendships aren't quite there but it could have been nice for him to acknowledge the young guy because he is a sensational player.

"That sort of mark of class is always good when high-level players can show that bit of humility."

Celtic are facing more UEFA disciplinary proceedings after the European clash after a fan ran onto their pitch and aimed a kick at PSG striker Kylian Mbappe.

The Scottish champions have been punished 11 times in six seasons for incidents relating to supporter misconduct during European ties, with over £160,000 in fines incurred over the same period, but Rodgers believes Wednesday's incident was not a true reflection of the majority of fans.

"It was disappointing the guy felt the need to come on," he said. "You sense the disappointment around the ground because that's not how we behave."

Rodgers also confirmed Moussa Dembele is in line to make his first domestic appearance of the campaign this weekend, though Dedryck Boyata (knee) faces a late fitness test.

"He'll [Dembele] be in the squad," Rodgers said. "We'll assess Dedryck over the next 24 hours to see whether he is going to be available.

"But Moussa looks good, he's been training for a few weeks now."
