DIEGO COSTA has returned to London in a bid to try and resolve his ongoing feud with Chelsea
Antonio Conte informed him via text back in June that he would no longer be part of his plans.
Diego Costa had hoped to sign for Atletico Madrid this summer but the two clubs failed to reach an agreement.
In a turn of events, Chelsea named Costa in their 25-man Premier League squad last week and want him to feature this season.
And according to Spanish newspaper Marca, Costa has now returned to London.
The report suggests Costa realises he must get back to full fitness if he wants to be in Spain’s World Cup squad next year.
Atletico also want the forward to be at the top of his game for when their transfer ban comes to an end in January and they can officially sign him.
With Costa now back in England’s capital he must still try and find a way back into Conte’s plans.
Owner Roman Abramovich is thought to be unhappy with the way the Italian handled Costa’s situation, especially the way in which he told him via text.
And the Gambling Times suggest Chelsea’s board are now pleading with Conte to put the past behind him and incorporate the 28-year-old into his training sessions.
Despite Costa being named in Chelsea’s Premier League squad, he has not been included in their Champions League squad.
