Chelsea Star To Become The Best Paid Player In The Premier League?

 

 Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer one of their stars a new deal which could see him become the best-paid player in English football.

According to the English publication The Sun, Antonio Conte’s side is looking to offer Belgium international Eden Hazard a contract that will apparently see him earn around £300 000 (R5.39 million) a week.

The winger, who could topple Paul Pogba as the league’s highest earner, is currently on a deal reportedly worth £220 000 (R3.95 million) a week at Stamford Bridge.

The 26-year-old has not played much football this season as he has been recovering from a broken ankle, but despite the injury, there have been rumours circulating that Real Madrid have been lining up a possible bid for the player.

Hazard has made 254 appearances for the London side so far, scoring 72 goals and assisting in a further 64 more.
