Brazilian superstar Neymar earns £2.7million a month at Paris Saint-Germain

Neymar is paid a salary of just under £3million a month at Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports.

The Brazilian superstar swapped Barcelona for Paris this summer after the French side issued Neymar with the money to activate his £198m release clause.

Neymar’s decision to leave Barcelona rocked La Liga and his astronomical transfer fee sent the market into overdrive.

But, the fee seems to be just the tip of the iceberg if Football Leaks and Der Spiegel are to be believed.

It is claimed Neymar pockets €3,069,520 a month at PSG, which evens out to around €100,000 a day.

Harry Kane and Hugo Loris are on £100,000-a-week contracts at Tottenham while Manchester United’s Paul Pogba is thought to have a weekly salary of £280,000.

But Neymar eclipses those crazy figures with ease and will pick up just under €37m a year at PSG.
Neymar’s former team-mate Lionel Messi is thought to have penned a new deal worth £500,000 a week.

PSG will believe Neymar is worth every penny should he deliver on his determination to win the Ballon d’Or and lead his new side to a Champions League triumph.

Neymar has hit the ground running in Paris with five goals and five assists in his opening six games.
That includes an assist and a goal in the 5-0 rout of Celtic in PSG’s first Champions League group game.

And PSG seem to already be relying on their new star man with the French side drawing a blank against Montpellier over the weekend.

Neymar did not play due to a foot injury, but is set to be fit in time for the game against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
